Wayne Halgrimson Darren Hammers Donna Harrison Gary Hall John Hall William Halstead From the time Darryl Tidwell was little, he had dreamed of becoming a commercial air- plane pilot. This all changed during his fresh- men year at Rowland. His interest in drama came about after a chance remark by Coach Brown after Darryl had read a passage in class one day. Coach Brown asked Darryl if he had drama and if not, thought he should give it a try. Darryl did and has loved every moment of it since. After Coach Brown ' s remark, Darryl tried out for a part in Curious Savage. He won the role of Hannibal, a role that he calls his favorite. He has since performed in six school productions, playing parts from comedy to very serious. He also sang in the production of Oliver, but feels his voice is not adequate for singing. He is currently taking dancing lessons which he feels will make him a more rounded performer. He has not always received support from his sports-minded family, but he feels his dancing and acting are far more physically exacting than sports. Darryl stated that school is what a student makes it, and he has found it to be a great experience. He carries a 3.2 GPA, with psychology and history being his favorite subjects. He is also president of the Thespians on campus and became vice-president of the state chapter his senior year. He plans on attending Whit- tier College, majoring in Theatre Arts.
