The musically inclined and vocally gifted meet in HI every school day to practice, improve, and sharpen their vocal skills. These students make up the Rowland High School Choirs. Under the direction of Mr. John Catanzaro, they have again completed a successful year of concerts, festivals, competitions, and school productions. Support for the choirs was derived from a variety of ways. One of the major events was the Second Annual Fashion Show and Spaghetti Dinner. After the dinner, students, parents, and facul- ty members modeled the latest fashions. The high point and conclusion to the show was a full scale wedding party. Singing Christmas cards were again a popular Christmas event. For 50c students could send a singing Christmas carol to any of their friends-via the choirs. This year the choir sponsored the Stu- dent-Faculty Talent Show, called Rowland on Broadway. It played to sell-out crowds both nights it was presented. Mame, the spring musical, was their biggest endeavor and largest success of the year. It was presented in the new facili- ties of the gym and was warmly received by the large audiences that attended the performances. Again as the past, a tribute to Mr. Catanzaro. I.
