- ; Style and grace are two words that aptly describe Rowlands Gymnastic team. The team again, as in the last year, kept up their tradition of being strong contenders in both the Sierra League and the CIF. The team had seven returning competi- tives who did well his year: On the horse. Ken Mayhue; on the rings, Lowell Stanbaugh, John Row- land and Mike Mattes-, on the parallel bars, Paul Peloso and Phil Silva; and on the horizontal bar, Andy Barta. This team brought many medals home to Rowland this year because of their outstanding individual performances. 100 Gymnastics

' The best ever baseball team took the field for Rowland this year. Led by Andy Casana, Mi- cah Embry, Craig Tippings, John Piazza, and Keith Sheppard, the team was a sure-thing to finish among the top three in league play. Part of the reason for the strength of the team had to have been the fact that only three players were lost to graduation last year. Because the team members were used to playing together, they functioned better as a team. I. Varsity Team. Row I: Keith Sheppard. Craig Mason. Richard Hawk. Craig Tippings. Dave Leabman. Carrie Bank.
