DEDICATION Among the schools admitting this year’s seniors were highly selective colleges and universities all over the country, including several Ivy League institutions. The class is very pleased with these results and agiees that much of this success can be credited to the work of Mrs. Patricia A. Goldsmith, our college counselor. Pat Goldsmith came to Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s last year from a job as a highly esteemed college admissions officer at Harvard University. Her background gives her invaluable insight into the college admissions process that has benefited stu- dents immensely. In addition to this knowledge, her background provides her with many connections and much influence. Mrs. Goldsmith’s enthusiasm for her job is evident. Her individual attention and concern have helped students in many areas from planning college tours, to writing college essays. Seniors appreciate her openness and honesty and subsequently value her opinion. Mrs. Goldsmith pushed students to their highest potential without allowing them to overstep their ability. She did her utmost to assure acceptances at “safety” and “reach” school alike. Mrs. Goldsmith is proud of each student’s acceptances, to say the least. For her accomplishments, the yearbook staff would like to dedicate the 1988- 1989 Hallmark to Pat Goldsmith and thank her for her many hours. When we consider that she alone completed an average of four to five recommendations for each senior in addition to the rest of the work her job requires, the thought is overwhelming. Our thanks and gratitude are thus expressed to a most indispensa- ble member of the Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s School community.
