Dedication This year, the Hallmark staff dedicates the yearbook to Mr. Ray Wilkerson . Although Ray himself is seldom seen around the school, his presence is evident everywhere. A genius at woodworking, Ray devotes countless hours to projects through- out the school . In every department his handiwork can be seen, whether in simple repairs such as shelves and blackboards, or in major projects, including the remodeling of the gym and the construction of the lower school science lab. Ray is particularly devoted to the school . For him, no job is too large or too small, and he delights in doing kindnesses for people within the school . He gives bouquets to teachers and staff members in the spring. He has played Santa Claus for school classes, and has donated Christmas trees to lend a fes- tive air to the school lobby. Throughout the grounds his bird- houses can be seen, and this summer he constructed the new drinking fountain and the hanging sign that stand in front of A building. Ray is a gentle man. He is quiet, kind, and generous. He is a man of many talents: a philosopher, a poet, a nature lover, and an artist with a fondness for Mozart. Most of all , Ray is a loving man, and he shows this loving nature in everything he does for the school . Ray ' s love and interest for R .H .-S .M . extend far beyond his professional work. After years of silent, seldom recognized service to the school, which started in 1951, we would like to give Ray a public Thank You on behalf of the student body . Staff, Hallmark ' 77 2
