This was the theme of the annual Junior-Sen- ior Prom on Saturday, May 11, 1957 .... The even- ing began at 6:30 with a banquet of creamed chicken on mashed potatoes, peas, and jello salad, with chocolate cake and ice cream ..,. Then Leon- ard Ceglie, as master of ceremonies, led the ex- cited juniors and seniors in singing .... Then the dance programs were filled out ..,. Excitement mounted as the gym was opened to reveal the wonder of old Japan .... Guests walked through the dragon's mouth into a world of floating paper, butterflies and tinkling wind chimes .... Dancing to the music of Ray Jangles fine orchestra which was performing under a miniature teahouse beside a brook with a quaint old bridge over it .... Jun- iors: Kenna Mook, Dan Szalai, Joy Kesatie, Clar- ence Johnson, led the seniors of the court over this bridge to the throne, a Japanese ricksha on a hill surrounded by cherry trees in blossom .... Judy Dickson and Larry Simpson were crowned by Jun- ior Class President Susan Parkomaki after which Judy Hunt, escorted by Victor Moisio, sang My Best to You . . . Then the King and Queen with their court: Larry Beers, Aris Anderson, Dale Webb, Barbara Hale reigned over the final dance ending a perfect prom evening.
