SHVIOR CLASS HISTORY hlS eagerness to blow It on JUNE CHRISTOPHER he mhaled the entlre contents of the box Ill bet that was the worst attack of hayfever hls doctor ever treated The freshman year went only too soon and we once agam found ourselves promoted thls t1me we were sophomores How wonderful lt sounded to hear someone call out Sophomores' and know you were part of the class We were now under the wlng of Mr Townsley who was our home room sponsor Electlon day came and went and ROB ERT DODGE took the tltle of presldent wlth JIM SPECHT as v1ce presldent PAT LITWILER was chosen secretary and SALLY KASTO treasurer Our representation on the basketball court re malned the same whlch was fme because the boys were dolng very well The sophomore year was hlghllghted w1th skatlng parties dances and the magazme sales subscrxptlon dr1ve and wxth the exceptlon of a few squabbles wlth student lxbrarlans fwe always lostl the year was very mterestmg and passed very qulckly School months pass fast but vacatlon months pass faster We were now Junlors but lt seemed almost llke yesterday that we were freshman We were now under the watchful eye of Mrs Lynch and the lron hand of Mr Dawson who we pro claimed to be our sponsors The offlce of presldent was lmmedlately fxlled by JIM SPECHT w1th RUSSELL HUMPHREY as v1ce presldent SALLY KASTO as treasurer and PAT LITWILER as secretary Our basketball squad stlll remalned the same as ln DYEVIOUS years Immedlately upon beglnmng our Jumor year the flrst lssue brought forth was the Jumor Play We presented the roarlng comedy Flnders Creepers DOROTHY ROLLAND ROBERT PUNKAR GEORGE HOGLE GEORGE MALLORIE SALLY SKINNER KATE WHITFORD DON SCHI AVONE PHILIP HUMALAINEN PAT LITWIL ER DOLORS STRONG BILL LYNCH SANDRA WELLS JEANETTE REETS RUSSELL HUM PHREY and JIM SPECHT portrayed the charac ters as dlrected by Mr Dawson In the tradxtlonal contest of tlcket sales between the two rooms Mr Dawson roo'n came out vlctorlous as always As soon as the Junior play had been completed we began our settxng for the annual Jun1or Semor Prom Thls was a very festlve occaslon wlth the theme Spring Time Thus was the long anticipated prom wlth the hlghllght of the evenmg the crown mg of the kmg and queen DICK HILL and DE LORES SEBETICH after a tempt1ng chlcken banquet 1n the brlghtly decorated cafeterla Another hlghllght of the Jumor class was the Natlonal Honor Soclety 1n1t1at1on We gave three members ROBERT DODGE JUNE CHRISTO PHER and PAT LITWILER Almost before we reallzed we were paradmg lnto Room 313 Yes thls was the senior room but we dldnt feel as though we were that old smce no one had really changed smce our freshman class When electlon tlme came RUSSELL HUM PHREY was elected presldent BILL LYNCH v1ce presldent ROBERT DODGE treasurer and KATE WHITFORD class secretary We 1mmed1 ately began to f1nd ways to ralse money for our tlonery pop and many other proJects were to be our source of revenue The Saga Staff was soon announced wlth ROBERT DODGE as Edltor 1n Chlef Our dra mat1c presentatlon for the year was For Pops Sake w1th the outstandmg cast mcludlng JUDY WHITNEY JUNE CHRISTOPHER PAT LITWI LER SALLY KASTO KATE WHITFORD MARI AN SPECHT GEORGE HOGLE BILL LYNCH DOT ROLLAND JIM SPECHT PHIL HUMA LAINEN ROBERT PUNKAR JOHN ROSAA and dlrected by Mrs Kltchen who helped to make lt a wonderful productlon Tlme passed qulckly and before one could reallze nt the year was over and graduatlon was upon us Now the tlme had come to say So long to the unforgettable years at Rowe Yes graduatxon brmgs to us the cllmax of the pages of our formal educatlon We have been vlctonous ln th1S battle of learnmg and now we look upon the world lt self to conquer We know that the educatlon we have acqulred here at Rowe w11l be the steppmg stone for our tomorrow's adult llfe , . 1 . . , , . , . . - . , - .
