Class History On September 11, 1968, twenty excited but nervous girls left the warmth of our homes and loved ones behind to begin three, long years at RMH toward the memleverient of their goal -- to become a registered nurse, The first month no one knew what we had to endure, but we soon found out. 2:00 awakenings, greased doorknobs, short sheets, and rough times as our welcoming from the upper classmen. For the first few months we went around with only two thoughts -- weekends and HOME! But as time passed we began to get less homesick but more tired. Excitement was wearing a uniform for the first time, that first injection, going to surgery, class- rings, delivering a baby, nursing children, psychiatry affiliation, and even more the fact that graduation is closer each day. Many have departed along our three year journey, friends and classmates we shall never forget. As time draws near each has begun to think of future plans. While looking toward the future we can't help but look back and remember the past, the good and bad. We'll always remember the many friends we've made and the good times as well as the hardships. We look back and remember weekly tests, final exams, bib cards, un- legible writing, 'nice'’ doctors, guiding instructors, parties, holidays, sorrows and tears. So as we look ahead we have many regrets but many accomplishments. To RMH we bid a fond farewell and one big Thank You ! Kathy Buie Historian
