These last two years of Rowan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing is the beginning for a few and an end for so many. This includes all those who have walked down that aisle and received their diplomas as graduates from this school. Each year that we advance is marked by a stepping stone. These stones seem to increase in value and re- sponsibility as time travels on. The memories would somehow not seem complete if they did not include the happiness, joys, sorrows and tears that we have shared with each other. One yearbook can never begin to demonstrate all our achievements, disappointments and hardships. We just hope when you have finished your journey through the 1971 White Cap the image that we have tried to create will provide some with memories and others with hope and ideas. CG DEDICATION Those who bring to the lives of others can- not keep it from themselves. Miss Suggs The 1971 White Cap proudly dedicates its last edition to those, during our three years, who have willingly and enthusi- astically followed us through all our trials and triumphs that we chose to endeavor. They also provided us with the opportunity of gaining the knowledge that is needed to fulfill our goals of ambition. This is our way of paying tribute and expressing our sincere appreciation to the Faculty of Rowan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Se iS BAS EE AE DY ORRIN Class History On September 11, 1968, twenty excited but nervous girls left the warmth of our homes and loved ones behind to begin three, long years at RMH toward the memleverient of their goal -- to become a registered nurse, The first month no one knew what we had to endure, but we soon found out. 2:00 awakenings, greased doorknobs, short sheets, and rough times as our welcoming from the upper classmen. For the first few months we went around with only two thoughts -- weekends and HOME! But as time passed we began to get less homesick but more tired. Excitement was wearing a uniform for the first time, that first injection, going to surgery, class- rings, delivering a baby, nursing children, psychiatry affiliation, and even more the fact that graduation is closer each day. Many have departed along our three year journey, friends and classmates we shall never forget. As time draws near each has begun to think of future plans. While looking toward the future we can't help but look back and remember the past, the good and bad. We'll always remember the many friends we've made and the good times as well as the hardships. We look back and remember weekly tests, final exams, bib cards, un- legible writing, 'nice'’ doctors, guiding instructors, parties, holidays, sorrows and tears. So as we look ahead we have many regrets but many accomplishments. To RMH we bid a fond farewell and one big Thank You ! Kathy Buie Historian Last Will And Testament I, Elaine Branch, leave to my little sister, Donna Lambeth, my ability to get into my room in spite of the mess. We, Kathy Buie and Debbie Shelton, will to Mrs. Hinson, a six-pack of black flairs; to Mrs. Ball, the ability to relate; to Mrs. Addis a year's supply of vitamin C tablets; to Mrs. Bullock, a book of health teachings; and to the Junior class, a ''God Bless You, You'll Need It. I, Phyllis Johnston, will all my jinx powers to anyone who wants them. I, Nancy Johnstone, leave RMH school of nursing to put to use the knowledge I have gained and to encourage my little sister, Susan Albright, to take in all that is offered in learning and use it wisely. I, Brenda Leonard, leave my ability to pass psychiatry without studying and all my good times at Broughton to Jane Hall, to the junior class I leave lots of luck and best wishes for a successful year. I, Judy Matthews, leave my love for freedom and being different, C Scorpions, motor- cycles, beards, long hair, fringe boots, to all those who want to be themselves and have the ability to get away with it.
