State: North Carolina County: Rowan Hospital: Rowan Memorial We, the class of 1951, being of sound mind and strong body, realizing the eminence of our departure from Rowan Memorial Hospital, and having in our possession certain valuable prop- erties, do hereby publish this our last will and testament; hereby declaring all previous doc- uments null and void, ARTICLE I 1, To the Rowan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing our appreciation for making it pos- sible for us to obtain our profession, 2. To the Director of Nurses, Miss Howard, we leave our graditude for her guidance during our training period, 3. Tooursenior class sponsor, Miss Francis, we leave our never ending thankfulness for her understanding and invaluable aid, 24 LAST WILL 4. To the nursing staff we leave our love and appreciation for their consideration and un- tiring efforts in our behalf, 5. Christmas Eve found six of us leaving for Torrance, Pennsylvania’ to study psychiatry, This was the first time students had ever affiliated from this school for psychiatry and needless to say it was a new experience for us, After returning from affiliations, the entire class was kept busy toward the production of The White Cap with the completion of the annual we still had to look forward to the big event of our training, August 16, 1951, we were to receive the long awaited pin and peice of parch- ment that was our diploma and meant that we had fi nished three long years of study, work, and play.
