l If Captain William A. TEASLEY, lr., was graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in l946, and first served on U55. ATLANTA CCL-104i as Repair Officer. Then he held a variety of billets on the U.S.S. THOMPSON lDMS-381 for over 2 years. Next, he spent considerable time as a Gunnery Officer, both aboard U.S.S. MOALE QDD-693i and U.S.S. SALEM CCA-l39l. Following these tours, the then Lieutenant TEASLEY spent 2 years in the Ordnance Engineering Curriculum at the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, and another year at M,l,T, studying Ordnance Engineering for which he received his Master of Science degree. Going back to sea, he served as Executive Officer of the U.S, EDMONDS LDE--106i for 3 years and as Weapons Officer on USS. LITTLE ROCK lCLG-Si for 2 years. interspersed with these assignments were several years of work with various missile ss stems, including Tartar and Terrier. ln l965, Commander TEASLEY assumed command of USS. PERKINS CDD-S77i. Then, after some more time at Monterex, ss here he helped to revise the curriculum, Captain TEASLEY was assigned as Commander DESTROYER DIVISION ISQ.
