A man is never so tall as when he stoops to help a child. Sweden born Mr. Roland Esbjornson — known and admired as Mr. Esby — estab- lished the Orthopedic Clinic for Handicap- ped children in 1944. Under his untiring guidance the clinic has since flourished. The time and energy, disappointments and elations which were uppermost in our feelings as we endeavored to produce a big- ger and better yearbook — so important at the time — are in reality so insignificant as compared to the work here honored. Tom Walkins, left, guides a play therapy activity. If the child is relaxed and happy, coordination and muscle tone are present.

We Dedicate Weigh your efforts against the time and energy, disappointments and elations ex- perienced hy those great people who give unstintingly of themselves for others. Our yearbook is a means to kindling the flame of our memories in the years to come. Mr. Esby ' s clinic is the means to kindle and keep bright the flame of hope as parents see their handicapped children develop into more phy- sically normal individuals with the training and care offered generously by our Mr. Esby .... to him we dedicate this yearbook. Mr. Esby ' s interest is in each case. Here he helps a child learn to walk with the skis. This personal relationship makes Esby beloved. Jim Lilley and Grace Boston assist. This activity strengthens muscles, and the child is proud when he can sit and peddle alone. Miss Adams, Cohen, Calupo, Lilley, Watkins, DiGiam- berardino, D ' Allessandro, Pontrantolne, and Hughes assist the class.
