Sheryl Clark presents awards. Sextet entertains mothers. F.H.A. M other-Daughter Banquet The annual Mother-Daughter Banquet was held May 9, in the cafetorium. The evening started with the meal served by the Ontario Homemakers Extension. Mrs. Schluter, the guest speaker, told of her experiences as a Pillsbury Bake-off winner. A style show was presented by several F.H.A. girls. Sheryl Clark served as Mistress of Ceremonies and sang two song solos. The sextet also presented two numbers. All senior members were recognized and presented corsages. The installation ceremony ended the program with Jo Windsor installed as the new president for the 1972-73 year. 21

F.F.A. Banquet The annual R.O.V.A. F.F.A. Parent-Son Banquet was held in the high school cafe-torium on Thursday, May 4, 1972. The invocation was given by Tim Fritz and the meal was served by the Adult Fellowship Class of the Oneida Methodist Church. Dave Rylander served as master of ceremony, and the welcome was given by Mark Johnson, followed by the response from Mr. Everett Brown. The F.F.A. Creed was given by Larry Carlson and Glenn Saline. Rosemary England was recognized as the Greenhand Sweetheart, and Judy Adams was honored as the Chapter Sweetheart. Jim Cahill was presented with the Star Greenhand Award by Mr. Wylie Shimel, who represented the County Companies Insurance. Hono ary Chapter Farmer Degrees were presented to Mrs. William Adams, Mr. Everett Brown, and State Representative. A.T. Me Master. Two State F.F.A. officers were present and gave speeches. They were Ben Wessels, Section 4 President and District 1 Director; and Dennis Dazey, State President of the Illinois Association Future Farmers of America. Athletic Banquet Around 300 attended the Athletic Banquet held in the R.O.V.A. Cafetorium on Tuesday evening, May 16, with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p. m. The toastmaster was Dr. Ralph Vinson. Inovacation was given by Pastor Albert Murphy of Oneida. William Whalen presented the football awards to the following; the most improved player to Steve Best, the best offensive back to A1 Truelove, the best defensive back to Dave Clark, the best offensive lineman to Mike Collopy, the best defensive lineman to Barth Olson. Dean Holmes received the most valuable Senior award in track. Coach Bob Meredith presented the following basketball awards; most valuable Senior award went to Brad Clay, the most improved player award to Dan Courtright, the rebounding award, free throw award and the top performer award all went to Reed Johnson. Athletic Director Bill Adams presented the Bob Heflin-Dean Somberger memorial award to the most valuable senior participant in all sports to Brad Clay. He also presented Larry Lawson a plaque from the Letterman's Club for his many years as manager. Barth Olson received the Dale Johnston memorial award, most valuable Senior football participant. The speaker was Joe Stowell of Bradley University of Peoria. 22
