Our thanks to Charles Martin for helping with the dedication write-up and to the Unknown author for the poem, Immortality. 3 working caring Would you repeat that once again, please? 4 Sheryl, we shouldn't go on meeting like this DEDICATION Walk with us down a path of memories —a path shaded by sorrow, joy, happiness, loneliness, hope. Look back at the past year, at the road that has been traveled, and recall the emotions and memories. It is these, the memories of the past year, to which this yearbook has been dedicated. Turn its pages--and remember. IMMORTALITY Do not stand at my grave and weep . . « I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush, I am the swift upflinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft star-shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry . . . I am not there. I did not die. It marks the end of a four-year educational experience that has contributed greatly to the shaping.of our ideas and ideals. For each individual class member, this period holds different emotions; for some it has been a trying challenge, and for others a loathsome bore. Some see it as an exciting period, active and rewarding; still others see it in sadness, people and events in time gone by. But for all of us it has been a time in which to mature, to develop one's character, enriched by the personalities of friends around us. This school has given us, if nothing else, the experience of knowing other people, and finding ourselves in them. It is this mutual feeling, this sharing of hopes, sorrows, and emotions within the Senior class, to build individual characters that will linger on in the halls of R.O.V.A. as the Spirit of '71.
