Student Council Representative--Wayne Hannam--He talks his way in and out of everything. Senior Farewell We, the class of 1968, in taking our 'giant step' into the space-age world, pause to reminisce on our ROVA High School days, knowing we can never completely close the MEMORY DOOR on this milestone in our lives. We remember our entrance as 'green' and timid freshmen; our coming-into-earnestness as sophomores; the caught-up feelings of really belonging as juniors; and the joy of attainment and leadership as seniors. We'll always remember the variety of instruction from our instructors; supreme and disappointing moments of musical, social, theatrical, agricultural, speech, and athletic events; committee meetings; impossible assignments; deadlines for book reviews, science notebooks, home ec. and shop projects, examinations and Yearbook; called-on-carpet sessions; lifetime friendships amid congratulations from relatives and friends. Now, we leave, knowing that open, expectant and receptive spirits can plod through no day without rich returns of enjoyment and accomplishment, and recognizing that if we ever intend to make anything good or beautiful of our lives, the time and place to accomplish this is in each present, fleeting hour. 92 LeRoy Benson--Counting time is more important than making time count.
