Schraudenbach R OVA’S National Honor Society chapter this year installed six new members to their honored membership. As in the past, the NHS is an honor group of students selected from the junior and senior classes that are outstanding in the four fields of citizenship, scholarship, leadership and service. A project of this year’s membership was to offer to the ROVA student body an opportunity to purchase several well chosen and recommended high school level reading materials for a nominal cost from a paper bound book publisher. 1959-60 NHS officers were: R. Lundeen, President; R. Wright, Vice-President; E. House, Secretary; D. Krantz, Treasurer; Janice King, Parliamentarian. 21

A new project with the ROVA chapter of the Illinois Industrial Education Club this year was the popcorn concession at all home football and basketball games. The concession was attended and operated by the various club members. This year’s profits went towards purchase of a drill for the shop, state convention fees, and the annual Father-Son banquet. Again this year, the I.I.E.C., with the F.H.A., co-sponsored the annual Sweetheart Dance which was held on St. Valentine’s Day. OFFICERS--Left to Right: G. Hazen, Treasurer; D.
