In her four years of service, she has helped to make our days brighter with her friendly advice and her willingness to cooperate. If our praises are any indication of her place in our school life, you well realize that this dedication is not a sufficient reward. After observing her daily, we know that she is constantly on the go,” which makes us stop and wonder how, with all this work, she can still find time to give each individual so much of her attention and so much of herself. This is why we dedicate the ’60 Rovan, with profound admiration, to our school secretary and friend, Mrs. Katherine Holmes. ft

In the past years, our annual has been dedicated to someone who has given his time and talent to the school, usually in the form of teaching and the sponsoring of extracurricular activities. This year we are proud to honor a person who has served Rova in a different way. This person can count among her friends the entire student body and faculty.

An exclamation point is all we can use to express our excitement over the 1960 ROVAN. This year we have chosen to organize our year’s chronicle on the basis of a comparison with our school as a small town. Our Town of ROVA contains all the basic elements of any self-respecting community--a city council; businesses large and small; music, athletic and recreational facilities; and most important of all-a census of the population who, by working together, have established an idea for which our town stands--solidarity!
