THE RUSHING This is the Rushin family, Phyllis Ann 11, David 13, Mary Ellen 9, Mr. Rushing, Laura Faye S, and Mrs, Rushing. They came from Waterloo, Illinois, where Mr. Rushing served as Assistant Superintendent, Baseball and Basketball coach, and Senior Class sponsor, Mr, Rushing received his Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in 1937, and his Master's degree from University of Illinois in 1948. He has been teaching for 15 years. Mrs. Rushing has also done some teaching. We have certainly welcomed a fine family into our community this year. Mr. Rushing is principal of the Sr. High School and also acts as Student Council Advisor and teaches Algebra II. Superintendent J. D. and Mrs. McKibben are here pictured with their two children Marian Kaye, age 10, and Howard Dee, age 12. Mr. McKibben has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and a Master's degree from the University of Illinois. His experience covers every field from grade 1 through 12 - teacher of every grade, principal of both grade and high school, county superintendent, and superintendent of the R. O. V. A. schools. Mrs. McKibben attended Knox College and received her degree from DePauw Universit at Greencastle, Indiana. Her teaching experience is limited to high schoo1's. Howard's ambition, right now, is to become a great athlete with no particular sport left out. Marian at present, likes to draw and paint, but her secret wish is to become a strong competitor with boys on the athletic field. Both Howard and Marian are studying piano, as well as baritone horn and flute. MCKIBBE S 'K , X
