The sophomore class entered school last fall feelmg a httle lost Some students were ew en afrald and unsure of themselxes but graduallv they lost thus sense of msecurntv and adyanced forward with renewed determlnatlon Already ROVA Senlor Hugh had a new comblnatlon of dvnamlc classmates' They soon elected officers who promlsed to do thelr best and cooper ate wlth ewervone President Kenny Sparks Vlce President Gene Harpman Secretary Treasurer Sherrill Hartzell The Class sponsor was Mrs Alice Fenth The flrst few weeks the soph omores admltted were the hardest names but sometlmes not succeedlng too well were only a few of the obstacles of school llfe Howew er after a few get acquainted dances and other soclal gatherlngs they were able to walk down the corrldors smllmg and reallzlng that thev were now a part of the school and were considered every one s friend They sensed the joys of gomg to football games helpmg to cheer the team to ylctorv watching basketball ames and cheellng as loudlv as possible and also of smgmg the words of the school song Hall ROVA Hugh These were the happy days of their lnes gone was the sense of lonllness and m lts place had grown something which was much stronger the feeling of belonging which they wanted so much Good luck sophomores' Trv to make your remalnmg years at ROVA Senior Hugh as EXCltlIlg as the first 1, ' u L . . 7 , . 0 .
