This group is also directed by Mr. Desjarlais. 63 Diligent Staff Innovates New Techniques Shown at Left are three annual staff members at one of many nightly work sessions. Many new ideas were tried this year by the inexperienced staff. To help finance the book, the staff managed con- cessions at basketball games. Thanks to all who helped. These senior girls found that building an annual meant a lot of hard work as well as some fun aad go°fiiig around. Throughout the week they were forced to carry books and bow at every opportunity. Then, on Friday afternoon some freshmen painted the R while others were in- volved in activities such as shaving water balloons. The week was topped off by a dance with Rozelle Pfister and Roy Gene Bellew reigning. 66 Homecoming and Christmas Ball Highlight RHS’s Winter Season The sophomore float in upper left photo, Mark of Victory, took first place in the homecoming parade. Expecting a Victory, the freshman float took fourth place. At left the twirlers get ready to march in the parade. The Panthers played Red Lodge and lost 28-20, and Suzanne Brychta was chosen queen. THE STATE] IS OUR CAMPUS I Panthers Take 3rd in District; 4th in Divisional Above the three senior members of the basketball team accept 3rd place trophy at the Divisional Tournament. After a week of extra school spirit and daily pep rallies, the Panthers placed in both tournaments in Billings. Mike Greener stole the show with a duel role as a bank robber and principal, aided by his flunkie Curt Egge. Highlights of the play were Jerry Anderson's andGayla Bailey's smooching scene, the stickup, and catching of the crooks in the principal's office. BLAZING GUNS AT ROARING GULCH, a melodrama, featured Curt Egge in a duel role, Judi Goffena as the Black Widow, and Jan Davis as a lady sheriff. The Chorus Girls' line added variety. Comedies Feature Shootouts, Holdups, and Kissing in the Principal’s Office New Arrangement Makes ’72 Prom Unique The Junior-Senior Prom, with Cloud Nine as a theme, was a two night event this year. On Friday the banquet for all juniors and seniors was held at St. Benedict's church basement, with Howard Porter of Billings Business College as guest speaker. The next night Tom Ask and Joann Adolph reigned over the prom dance, and a movie, They Gave A War and Nobody Came, ended the evening. On May 22, 1972 the Class of 72 bid farewell to RHS, with their motto being Not the Sunset, But the Dawn.
