emot efau -ffuitoty ln the fall of 1944 the future graduatrng class of 1936 made therr entrance tnto the Roundhead School The teacher who had the responstbrlrty of settltng us to school ltfe was Mrs Ara Wrlhort Seven puprls of the thtrty seven who started completed all of therr twelve years at Roundhead They are Sandra Osborn Kay Tuttle Shtrley Kualle Joe Barnes Joe Wrleox Robert and Roger Overs Drek Ansley Judy Ellrott and James Mrller also started at Roundhead Some of the othere were Ltnda Parr Athel Tannehtll Dtck Groves Davrd Pfaff Lodena Shepherd Wayne litres Evelyn Allen Jane Harvey Faye Watktns Clark Beale an Jack Cam Mrs Mtldred Decker was our teacher tn the seeond grade Judy lzllrott went to Bellefontarne and James Nltller to By haha Ltnda Engle eame from llarrod and has been wrth us ever smee Alma and Donald Mar shall Donald Carroll anl 'xiareella Justus also Jomed us In our thxrd year of sehool we were dtvtded rnto two group one under the guxdance of Mrs Ruth Bran stetter the other under Mrs Deta Ftnk who passed away tn Ivovember of 1955 Dlck Ansley went to Belle Center for a year and then moved to Lrma Dtek Groves and Wayne lhtes moved away that year We were all bat k together again rn the fourth grade Mrs Ftnk taught,what we thought the more com pltcated subjects Jaek Artman Shrrley Fleece and one of our senrors Larry Wrnegardner were added to our elass thrs year We were begtnntng to feel more grown up tn Mrs Sara Canfteld s room down the hall from our ortgtnal rooms Thrs was a good year three more of our senrors entered the prcture Ruby Case and Carl Barns came from Waynesfteld One of our former frrends deexded to come back to Roundhead Judy Ellrott from Belle fontarne We also lost several frtends Alma and Donald Marshall Lrnda Parr and Athel Tannehrll left us Mrs Canfteld was also our sntth grade teacher Our subjects were becomlng harder James Mrller came back to old R ll S from Byhalra a d Dtek Ansley from Ltma Marlene and Charlene Taylor Mary Lou All top were added to our class Shtrley Fleece and Jaek Artman left for Belle Center We are now rn Junror htgh almost 1n hrgh school Thts was a memorable year for us A trtp to the Ohto State Museum at Lolurnbus wtth the etghth grade and dtd we have fun Thts al w was to be our ftrst year for the more talented srnge to go to Kenton for the Hardtn County Nlustc Festrval Our mam event was to hold candles for the graduattng class at commencement Mr W R Hatfteld was our teacher Mrs Amstutz our Enghsh teacher Alma Barley was here for one year Mary Lou Alltop left for Lakevtevv 5 I . . , ' .- , . v s' - -.
