Emile de Becque CBrad Watsonl has just proposed to Nellie Forbush, portrayed here by Leesa Burham, who sings about her confusion. i This year the Round Rock Choir sailei away to the South Pacific. But before thej anchored offshore, many preparations wen made for the long journey. First of all, the crew had to be choser which was done by the navigators, Mrs Henderson, director of music, and Mrs Hilsabeck, director of the crew's acting. Fo the first time ever, a double cast crew wa chosen, thus taking a load off a single crevi Each crew took shifts by alternating da' after day, making a total of fou performances. Crew members were required to furnis. their own costumes to take to the Soutl Pacific. Props were furnished by all thi mates that went aboard. The crew' schedule was a tough one. Practice was i minimum of three hours a day. The mai: crew's schedule consisted of practice befor school as well as lunch. As soon as the crew was down to perfec tion on each of their parts, it was time to pu the anchor and sail off to THE SOUTIL PACIFIC.
