Sophomores never get a chance to be the babies For the first time in years, the sophomores were no longer the babies of the high school. The freshman were brought back to the high school this year, instead of being isolated at the Ninth Grade Center. Feelings were varied, but most sophomores agreed that the change worked out fine. Lynda Morales, treasurer for the sophomore class, said, I'm glad about the change. Freshmen get picked on, not us. Another change the sophomores had to adjust to was the transition from the freshman center to the high school. There's not much dif- ference, said Beth Whitley, presi- dent, there's just more people. By the end of the year, the sophomore class had two major goals in sight. Mrs. Norma Jones, sophomore class sponsor, explained, Right now the sophomores are co cerned with achieving unity as a cla and having some sort of fund raiser 1 start their fund for their junior-senii prom. Sophomore officers are: Lynda Moral treasurer, Brettne Taylor, parliamentaria Teeyia Mercer secretary, Beth Whitla president, Leslie Swaverly, vice preside and Becky Peters, representative.
