Support unifies individuals Getting there wasn't easy. Reaching the top took hard work whether under a car or in a classroom. Rock Stars gave each other support in rough times and good times.. Win or lose, we made the top of the charts. Sometimes the struggle had to be ln the hallway. Shelley Kruemcke, Kim Rodriguez and Tasha Smith, freshmen, try to solve 4a+-2a-112 for Algebra I. Show Choir practices for the Christmas Con- cert Robert Faubion, juniorg Alton Overall, junior, and Shelley, Crossley, sophoriiore, try to stay in tune. 2 done alone when trying to study for an exam within the last few minutes or straining to finish a research paper. But when the job was too heavy somebody was always there to lend a helping hand. This helping hand came from coaches, teachers, sponsors, parents and friends. Their pats on the back, words of encouragement or caution, and willingness to listen made all the difference. The Rock Stars' devotion and desire produced strong competitors in everything from football to drafting. Whatever their activities included, they showed a great deal of effort. When the competitions ended, the awards distributed, Rock Stars came home with more than ribbons or trophies. They came home with a greater sense of self-worth. They came home with new friends and rela- tionships, the kind that grow from struggling together toward common goals. But these special relationships were Rhythm and pitch play a big role in choir. Rusty Smith, senior, acts as the conductor, trying to encourage a musical blend. also found in non-competitive groups, like student council, computer math lWho could ever forget the Valen- tine's Day Match Up?J, Mu Alpha Theta lthe mathematicians with flairj, Mexican American Club lwho started planning their graduation dance the second day of schooli, and there were others too numerous to mention. Even some ordinary classes pro duced special results, not so much because of what was taught, but who taught it and how. The bottom line was that everybody used hisfher Rock Power to snap things together. Before the varsity football game, Craig Huff, Kendall Crisp, and Glenn Scott, seniors, get a hot meal.
