776 the CAKSK ROUND LAKE HIGH SCHOOL Editors: Sue Stauter Cathy Rogalski Sponsor: Mrs. Asplund .1976 K.C.M.S. JJQM Oh, let all schools that stand throughout the land Put up their banners proud and high. We will extend to all a friendly hand; The bonds of friendship let us tie. But out of all the schools that fight for fame, There’s only one that will remain; And that is Round Lake, Round Lake, Here’s to you. We will not fail you, maize and blue. Hit’em high! Hit’em low! Go team go! But when they take the roll of fighting schools They’ll find there’s one above them all. For it is maize and blue that proudly rules. Before our colors, all will fall. FIGHT! 2 DSTtJCA In remembrance of someone who was not only a teacher, an advisor, and study hall monitor, but also a friend—we wish to dedicate this 1976 Laker to Mrs. Georgette Rogers. Because of her constant efforts, hard work, and dedication she became known to a select group of girls as “Mom.” These girls and Mrs. Rogers estab- lished the Pom Pon Squad which is now becoming a tradition at RLHS. Always willing to give of her time and energy, whether it be for a school activity or someone just in need of a listening ear, her memory and contribu- tions will long remain at Round Lake High School. Basically, there will be all new industrial arts rooms, including an auto shop and a graphic arts room, new science labs and a greenhouse, as well as remodeling of several existing rooms, including the old gym and the music rooms. Our present library will be about four and one-half times larger, and there will be a new cafeteria, sunken commons, concession stand, baseball field, and an additional gymnasium. Many students will come and go after these new walls are up. We, the LAKER editors, have tried to record the building progress, as well as the activities and growth of the student body at Round Lake High School. We hope everyone remembers these trying times and will appreciate them when the new educational facilities have been f completed. 196 Congratulations to the 1976 Round Lake Graduates ACE HARDWARE HOME CENTER Round Lake Shopping Plaza (Route 134) Round Lake, Illinois 60073 197 Compliments of STOP-N-SAVE FOOD LIQUORS 300 E.
