We sincerely hope that the recipients will put them to work as extensively as we have. Martha 'Shark' Barsness wills her pool-shooting ability to Paul Solum Lee wills his ability to rake people down to Gaye Dinger Roland wills his superior athletic ability to Harlan Duwayne passes his spelling ability along to Gene Beverly leaves her 'AN in conduct to be shared by Carolyn and Charleen Mardell's legible handwriting goes to one who needs it badly- Dean LaVon wills her ability to control her temper to Mrs. Polack Myron's vast knowledge of cars goes to Jerry Jorve Gloria wills ner tall, slender figure to Elaine Angeline leaves her typing ability to David Heggen Rona wills the bass drum, plus all the contraptions, noises, scoldings, etc. that go with it, to Mary Ann. Now Mary Ann won't have to shout all the time to be heard. Milton feels that Santa Claus has been so good to him throughout the years he wants to show his appreciation in some small way. H wills him his beard. Sitting by the cozy fire place, reading a book and listening to the latest in symphony records, Martha Barsness is suddenly disturbed to answer the phone. This is what became of that telephone call: 'Helloi Yes, this is Martha. Audrey? Why Audrey, I haven't heard or seen you for 10 years. How are you and what is it you are do- ing anyway? Yes, I'll bet it's a long story all right. Well, I did know you were married but I didn't know you had any children. Seven? My goodness, how time does fly! I sure would like to see them, and one old enough to be in school, too. You say 3 sets of twins? My lands, I can see very easily that you would have your hands full! Where are you living now, then? Alaska, and for 6 years, too. I'll bet it feels good to get back in the states again. Me? Oh, nothing much besides teaching. I have you beat by children tho' - I have thirty - pupils that is. This is my sixth year of teaching and it is getting quite tiresome. I'll bet you didn't know that Roland was the Superintendent in the same school that I'm teaching at. He has been carrying on Just terrible. He's been married four different times already and mind you right now going steady with Marilyn Monroe. How that could ever work out I don't know. Things really must be tough for Marilyn. Roland in- formed me just yesterday that Lee Eiken had been to school and you should have seen the style in which he came. A beautiful 'Comet Flyer' and you should have seen the gorgeous red suit he had on. He has a large Real Estate Agency and the way I heard it he's been doing al- right for himself. He calls his agency the 'Ei-ken-do-it'. And bring- ing in the money! Man! He has a mansion on Wall street in New York and the way it sounds the Government will be spending his Imcome Tex for about the next five years to come. What? Yes, I'm sure Roland hadn't been seeing things. It's really true. But best of all Rona is his private Secretary and has been for nine years. Her slogan must be if you don't get him in the first nine years better luck in the next nine. I guess they have been engaged for close to eight years. It may not be long before we get an invitation for the wedding. I guess Donald Toso is officiating. I don't think anyone ever thought he would become a minister but I guess he is really a fine man. The funny thing about it he is still single! Right after school he went in the service for 3 years and had already gotten to pvt. I guess he was on K.P. so much everyone called him 'The K.P. Kyd.' He had such a good start I don't know why he didn't keep on and make that his ca- reer. There aren't many that are that fortunate to get such a high rank. Speaking of service do you know who joined up of the girls in our class? Mardelle Haiby and Lavon Hokanson. They Joined the Wafs and from what I've heard of them they're doing very well for themselves. They are Life Guards at the nSwim or Drown' pool in Ilorida. Their camp is located in Florida too. I read that they were both c mpeting for the 'Miss Americavetitle of l96L! Believe it or not Gloria Honrud got the 'Miss American title in 1960. Boy, was I proud of the fact that I knew her. And because of that experience she got so many of- fers to go to different modeling schools. She accepted an offer to Paris. I saw her picture modeling a neck scarf on the 'Life' mag- azine cover. She even wrote an article on 'The Scarf!' Audrey, I'll bet you would never guess where Dale Western isfg He's located in the Ozarks working for the Government on the famous 'Z' bomb. Guess he always did have a scientific mind. I can re- member so well that Dale was the only one that ever got all those Phys- ics experiment that we always got to work out. How did I find all that out? Well, you remember Beverly Hovland don't you? I saw her one day down town and she told me she had to change her name to Prunella Schnop- sider. because she's working with the Secret Service. They are now investigating the old case of Harry Truman in Missouri. How she em- barked on that career I sure don't know. There she ran into Dale and I2 she was telling me what a sorry site he was. His red nair was even turning white. I wonder if anything will ever come of those two. Dale always did go after girls, dldn't he? Say, Audrey, what ever did happen to Dickie Rudh? Oh, he's a pro-wrestler located about 100 miles from where we live. We went to see him once. He sure was good! I hardly recognized hlmg he has gained so much weight and gotten so tall. Remember all the times that Lulu Olson rode home with Dickie at noon hour and after school? She ls D1ckie's manager and wife now She tried WT8St11ug for a tin but due to certain circumstances she had to give it up. I heard last that they had three children and one of them is a second 'Dennis the Menaoe'. He takes after his dad in that respect, no doubt. Lulu went on to school for awhile with teaching as a career in mind, but Dickie changed her mind about that and persuaded her to go into partnership with him. By the by, can you lliglne who, of all people, went into partnership with Dickie? Milton Johnson, 'The Friendly Under- taker'. Be persists on saying that lt's just too dead for him around there. The only reason they call it a partnership ls because Milt gets so much business because of Dickie that Dick believes he should get interest on the deal. I remember Milt having quite a time in getting girls but now he can be sure he'll get some in the end anyway. I wonder if he'll ever get Angeline Larson. Of all the kids ln our class she was the one to pick out stock car racing as a profession and career. She has teen with Joey Chetwood and his Thrill Codes for L years. She V4 do most anything, but ls best known for her daring acro- batlcs on the motorcycle. She also does cartwheels atop the hood of a car while it ls speeding along at 80 miles per hour. My! she has more nerve than I. Speaking of cars, Myron Hbxum really took his car business serious. He's in the used car business in Pumpkin Center, Greenland. e sells everything from 1810's to l96L's. His slogan is 'My-run or bust'. Warren Um- lauf also decided to go to Greenland, and mind you, he's running a dry cleaning, laundry, and tailor establishment. There are branches all over the world. His pet penqulns are the cleanest birds any place. Red hair must have given Marilyn Teterud good luck. She was recently hailed as being the pilot of the first space ship to reach the moon. We had a difficult time conversing with her be- cause of her scientific mind. She just couldn't come down to our level. She did tell us, however, that she is weary of all her honorary degrees and publicity and may some day retire for a quiet secluded life on the moon! Evidently Roger Wigdahl was another who had scientific ability which no one had dreamed 01. His father realized.hls yen for star gazing and financed him in school at the Mount Wilson Observatory. Be is now editor of 'The Horoscope', a magazine for all faithful star gazers. He may catch a ride with Marilyn on one of her trips to outer space to view the stars from a different angle. When traveling through Texas we had heard of the vast acres of the 'Lazy H' Ranch. We visited this renowned establishment and were pleasantly surprised when Duwayne and Yvonne greeted us with a healthy Texan drawl. It seemed that one of the many Westfalls had willed to Yvonne a worthless patch of sand. Yvonne was des- perately in need of help. Remembering DuWayne's agricultural experiments at the University of Lawndale, she put him on the Job. These two, after much hard work, had turned this sand into a prosperous ant ranch. They raise nothing but pure-bred red ants. This odd partnership has certainly paid off well. I3 Then traveling through Nevada, we saw an interesting poster that really attracted our eye. It seems that it was the grand o- pening of the Metropolitan's new opera house. The ballet being presented was nThe Swann, featuring Maria Tallchief and Charles Raw! But that isn't his only accomplishment - he also is a noted lecturer onjvarious subjects of interest, including 'HonestyW and UHard Workn, He is a noted philanthropist. When we were traveling through Seattle we saw Anita's name in the USeattle Timesn announcing her candidacy for Sewer Commis- sioner. When we found her home we were utterly dumbfounded--it was a huge mansion. Anita explained that she had married into fame and fortune. The present Mayor of Seattle, Herbert Van Snicklefritz III, was her husband. They have one set of tripletsg girls, and three boys. They certainly are some rambunctious youngstersil I sincerely hope she wins the post as Sewer Commis- sioner. How she manages all her work is beyond me. They always did tell me that these Minnesota farm girls were a hardy lot. No, Martha I must be going. This could go on for hours, so instead of letting that happen now, I'll call you again before I leave for home. It was so nice to talk to you. Goodbye!
