Throughout the week they were assigned to the library to check out books, give assistance to their fellow students, and to keep the library in its best order. The club's president was Shirley Sunderland, vice president, Eleanor Harshbarger, and secretary-treasurer, Grace Sweitzer. ?ufurs Zfcachsrs Of America The F.T.A. Club was composed of those who are interested in teaching as their profession. The Rochrock Chapter worked in affiliation with the county chapter of F. T. A.. Mr. Curry helped and advised on each proiect until the student could develop it by himself. The aim of the club was to encourage young people in the scientific field. iuniar Historian 611111 The members of the Jr. Historian Club for the year 57-58 focused attention mainly to con- ducting research into the historic past of the community, county, state, and nation. I Hhess glllb The Chess Club was made up of members from eighth through twelth grade. The officers chosen were Raymond Mort, President, Larry Renninger, Secretary-Treasurer. Mr. Richwine was the advisor. The aim of the Chess Club was to expand the thinking ability of its members. The members learned the moves and practices to become proficient at a game that is actually not too hard. Ar! 61116 The accomplishments of the Art Club for this year included: Tin crafts, oil painting, plaster carving, linoleum block painting, ceramics, sketching, iewelry making, and costume, car and textile designs.
