as 36. GQ' September found Iifty nine frightenel-faced freshmen trudging through the halls seeking out the room which would be their own for the next four y-ears. They learned that they would have Mr. Fleck, as their home room teacher. Subjects to them seemed very strange and different. The x's and y's of Algebra puzzled them. They delved into that foreboding subject known to all as Latin. They found that Civics was much different than eighth grade history - no dates to learn. Soon they became adjusted to high school life. In October they clected the following oliicersg President, Nancy Espigh: Vice President, Lois Stewart: Secretary, William Dunmire: Treasurer, Shirley Campbell. The activities of the class of the year included a Weiner roas-Q at Rupert's Cave and a St. Patrick's Dance. Page 13

The Sophomore Class returned to their second year of high school on September 5, 1950, and were greeted at the door by their home room teacher, Mrs. Yoder. In addition to a most successful April Fool's party, one of their chief prides and joys was the staging of their first Class play. This year the Sophomores are at the deciding point of their high school days. Our Senior advice to them is: Plan your Course carefully now, and in later years it will help you in selecting a suitable career. The elected officers of the class for the year were as follows: Presi- dent, Ronald College: Vice President, Joyve Woozlcockl Sevretary. Hazel Yoder: and Treasurer. Donald Swigart. Page 12
