The crowning of King Tom Lacock and Queen Marlene Lawson at halftime of the Eskridge-Rossville game high- lighted the 1960 homecoming festivities. Attendants to the royal couple were Janice Colson, Mary Brethour, Jim Lloyd, and Jesse Adams. Before announcing the King and Queen, the alumni and past Kings and Queens of Rossville were honored. A pep rally in the gym the night before the game opened the homecoming activities. To conclude the festivities a dance, over which the royal couple reigned, was held in the gymnasium after the game. The banquet, which honored the mothers of the Kayettes, was served by the senior boys. Rqfalzjy Reigns at Sweetheart Ball li 'xr-Wm . ' Mary Brethour and James Lloyd were crowned King and Queen of the annual Sweetheart Ball. They reigned over the Pep Club sponsored formal dance, February 14. Attendants to the couple were Dorothy Jacobson, Ruth Miller, Patricia Parr, jesse Adams, Dean Davis, and Gene Davis. A skit, featuring songs of foreign lands, was the entertainment for the evening. The King and Queen each received a heartshaped box of chocolates. Mary was given a bouquet of red carnations. 31
