Ifayettes Honor M others New Board Members Retiring Board Members Mrs. Winona Starkey, Home Economist from Kansas State University, was guest speaker at the annual Kayette Mother-Daughter Banquet, April 25. The banquet, which honored the mothers of the Kayettes, was served by the senior boys. A rdion solo by Linda Kelsey and a medley sung by Mary Brethour, Pamela n acco Berkey, and Joyce Swenson, preceded the candlelight installation of officers. Ulblberclassmen Enjfpf Initiation Thirty-two freshmen, new upperclassrnen, and new faculty members were initiated Septem- ber 9. The students were asked to dress as the Seniors desired and to perform some feat at an all-school assembly. New faculty members were also asked to perform. The crowning of King Tom Lacock and Queen Marlene Lawson at halftime of the Eskridge-Rossville game high- lighted the 1960 homecoming festivities. Attendants to the royal couple were Janice Colson, Mary Brethour, Jim Lloyd, and Jesse Adams. Before announcing the King and Queen, the alumni and past Kings and Queens of Rossville were honored. A pep rally in the gym the night before the game opened the homecoming activities. To conclude the festivities a dance, over which the royal couple reigned, was held in the gymnasium after the game.
