K For the first time in seven years, Rossville High had a track team. Thef team, consisting of twenty-six boys, initiated the new sport by winning first ,place at the Shawnee County -Track Meet. Members of the team qualified for the Regional Meet held at Manhattan. The Bulldogs placed third in the league and second in the District Tournament held at St. Marys. This year one sophomore, one junior, and seven seniors made up the team. F -.f. .., , ?.,,,t, Athletes Receive Honors The Rossville High and Grade School athletes were honored March 20, at the annual Athletic Banquet sponsored by the Rossville Lion's Club. Doug Weaver, head football coach at Kansas State University, was guest speaker. After the dinner prepared by the ladies of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, awards were presented to the high school athletes and cheer- leaders, and the grade school athletes were introduced. Enter- tainment for the evening was a vocal solo by Carol Adams and an W f A A . l accordion solo by Bobby Dolezilek.
