Potpourri ' 73 Many activities occupied students ' , faculty ' s time Above left. Key Club sponsored its annual door decoration contest. Christmas decorations appeared throughout every hall. Above right. Learning the art of golfing, Ricky Anderson helps Jeanne Whitlock improve her swinging form. Below. Seniors ordered stationery and jewelry. Debbie Liles and Dianne Pouts fill out their forms with assistance from Miss Carter. Indoor and outdoor activities occupied faculty members ' and students ' time. Golfing, ping-pong, tennis and other sports filled the long hours of boring days. Teachers worked for students through various means of help. Dances Christmas party remains all-school social event Preparations for the school-wide Christmas Dance began with officer meetings held in Miss Holder ' s room. Officers representing each class were appointed specific duties. Tickets were sold for $1.50 per person. The band, Apple Jam, pleased students with three hours of dance music. Refreshments were served throughout the party. The treats were prepared by the new Food Service Class. Lack of money made it necessary to charge ten cents a person to check in shoes, coats, or handbags. Students were required to take off their shoes before entering the gym floor. % ' A Hk. V Tired feet found nearby chairs to relieve tensions. Donna Curtis and date cuddled on the sidelines to watch other dancers. Soft music and dim lights made it possible for Steve Williams and date Doris Black to find themselves in a world of their own. 34 Dances
