Homecoming Students vote, parade, elect Homecoming Queen! Junior Representative-Leah Harris Sophomore Representative-Connie Wall Dressed in light blue, three girls, elected through a election, found themselves on a slushy field Homecoming night. The girls each carried one red rose to highlight their dresses of an ante-bellum gown style. Fans cheered the homecoming half time as excitement grew. The announcement of the new queen gave relief to almost everyone throughout the stadium. Homecoming candidates and the court rode a Pep Club float escorted by police and a motorcade. The parade encountered Rossville traffic from the entire city. The float was designed in blue and white with the court dressed also in blue and white. Pep Club ' s float presented candidates, Jan Campbell, Jeannie Henley, Jennifer Morrow, and court, Tammy Eubanks, Leah Harris, and Connie Wall in a motorcade through the Rossville area. 26 Homecoming

Homecoming Players select Homecoming sponsors and escorts Undoubtedly the most attractive parts of being a senior football player were get¬ ting a letter to put on one ' s jacket and asking a girl to become one ' s sponsor. This sponsor represented the senior player at the halftime program of Homecoming game. As the sponsor came across the football field on Homecoming night, the players received second half plans. But, a feeling of pride prevailed in the locker room. The girls received mum corsages with the player ' s number in the center. Escorts wore white boutonnieres to add to their suits. Sponsors and escorts preceding halftime were Mike Cole, Beverly Gore; Joe Don Stephens, Debbie Womack; Dennis Brock, Marcia Hanes; Kathy Butler, Bobby Shellnut; Lynita Purcell, Steve Moreland; Darlene Brown, Steve Hammer.
