Potpourri 73 Various antics, sales, improvements begin year Paved lots improved parking conditions for students who purchased a parking space. The spaces were sold for two dollars each. A five dollar fine was given to any violator parking in someone ' s space. Construction workers completed work almost two weeks following the first school day. Juniors ordered class rings in Reference Library. Rings returned in January and juniors flashed them around underclassmen. Roines were ordered during homeroom for seven dollars. Pranksters rolled trees on the school campus. Toilet paper remained on trees for all students to see the next day. Groups formed throughout all halls making new cliques and congesting halls. Groups drew together as different cliques. Gale Carey stopped talking to smile for the camera. City highway construction workers paved the new student parking lot. Paved lots were located behind annex and the main school building. Potpourri ' 73 21

Unknown pranksters rolled trees during the night on the school ' s campus. That will be a size six ' suggested the senior ring salesman. Janet Chadwick and Ann Chambers measured for rings with other junior classmates. Yearbook advertisements were placed in students ' sight, in hopes of a high sales rate. 20 Potpourri 73

Pep Sessions Unique ideas boost school spirit at pep rallys Students reported to the football field every Friday, sixth period for Pep Ses¬ sion. Cheerleaders and band members welcomed students with music and warm smiles. Competition Yell-Out gave each class a chance to prove its own spirit. Classes were judged and winners were selected. The Sophomore Class tied with Seniors for first place. The Pep Club presented its annual program at Pep Session. It consisted of a skit with male cheerleaders and female football players. All other pep sessions were planned and conducted by the RHS Cheerleaders and Mrs. Knight. Sophomores tied for First place with the theme “Bulldog Battleground. The float represented only half of their unique skit. Seniors tied for First place In Competition Yell- Out with a theme, We make our own kind of Spirit. Mike Brown, Steve Hammer, and Ricky Anderson pulled Jimmy Morgan and Cary Robins on the field. Pep Club pep session cheerleaders were Gary Robins, Claude Duffey, Bobby Butler, Steve Hammer, Steve Moreland, and Captain Bob¬ by McNabb. 22 Pep Sessions
