Boys Sports Phys. ed. classes provide outlets for enthusiasm Boys physical education classes could be described as wild, rough, enthusiastic, and most of all fun. The classes consisted mostly of freshmen, for whom it was required, but a good number of upperclassmen chose P.E. as a class they could ' unwind in after attending the other, more strict courses. The activities consisted of football, basketball, volleyball against the girls ' P.E. classes, soccer, softball, and one of Coach Ben Boulware ' s own creations, speed ball. Above. Competition Bulldogs... This was a year of mixed emotions for RHS athletics. Football again reigned ' ' King while basketball became its lackluster prince . B-team sports became more recognized, although still not gaining the popularity it deserves. The track team seemed to remain unknown, except to those tireless few who stuck it out through fall and winter training in hopes of gaining that symbolic R .
