p Wrestling Bulldog grapplers carry on despite depleted squad Below. Tony Osborne rides his Lakeview opponent enroute to a close 6 to 5 win. Top right. The winner declares the referee as he holds Phil Summers arm high in the air to signify that another Warrior had bit the dust. Despite the number of varsity wrestlers that quit the team during midseason, the gallant Blue and White wrestlers managed a season record of 4 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. The wins came against Lakeview, Ringgold, Knoxville Hall, and Cherokee. The losses went to McCallie, Baylor, East Ridge, R.L. Osborne, and Rockmart. The lone tie was with Sprayberry. For the last half of the season the team was 12 points behind. The seniors of this year ' s wrestling team are (L-R) Jim Harper, Paul Swanson, and Mike Brown. Not pictured is Steve Moreland. After two crushing defeats by Baylor and McCallie, Rossville ' s Blue Fury wrestling team bopped Lakeview ' s Redmen, 40 to 14. This defeat snapped a three match Warrior winstreak. Those gaining wins in the match were Wayne Baker, Tony Osburne, Tony Tucker, Paul Swanson, Steve Brown, Jimmy Harper, Phil Summers, and Joe Stevens. Steve Moreland fought to a 9 to 9 tie with his opponent. Tucker, Harper, Summers, and Stevens beat their opponents with pins; Baker, Osburne, Swanson, and Brown won by the scores of 10-6, 6-5, 12-1, and 14-4, respectively, as once again the Bulldogs proved superior to their cross-town rivals from Lakeview. 128 Wrestling
