Varsity Football Seniors earn 22-8,3 year record as Bulldogs R.H.S. 27 21 19 12 20 29 37 41 42 12 Lakeview Opp. 8 Dalton 13 Campbell-Smyrna 0 Marietta 7 South Cobb 14 Douglas Co. 52 Wheeler 6 Sprayberry 0 R. L. Osborne 13 West Rome 15 Roy Blevins Ronnie McDaniel DickyClark DougTurner This year ' s senior football players will leave behind them many impressive accomplishments. Among those honors earned was an impressive record of 22 wins and 8 losses for a three year percentage of .733. The seniors also played on the 1971 team that brought Rossville its first sub-region championship in many years. They achieved this by completing the season with a perfect 8-0 sub-region slate, but then lost a tough battle to West Rome 17-0 in the Region championship game played here at Rossville. Particular honors went to three year letterman Dicky Clark, who was chosen to the Atlanta Constitution ' s All State-AAA Team. He was chosen for the position of quarterback. Sometimes you just lower your head and shove as Charles Adams ' attitude demonstrates here. This action took place during the Dogs 41-0 romp over Sprayberry. 116 Varsity Football

Right. Sic ' em ' Dogs! —A cry often heard urging our defense on. Here they can a Sprayberry opponent for a sizable loss. In on the tackle are Bud Fowler, Herbert Canada, and Curt Camp. Below Right. Once again Clark goes to David Crane (80) for yardage through the air. This play went for much yardage against Sprayberry. Scott McCuiston Joel Evans Phil Summers The Dogs made their return to region 5-AAA well-known, finishing second in the region with 7 wins and 1 loss, while finishing 8-2 overall. The Blue and White posted victories over Lakeview, Dalton, Campbell of Smyrna, Mariet¬ ta, South Cobb, Wheeler, Sprayberry, and R.L. Osborne. The two losses came at the hands of region champs Douglas County and West Rome, in a non-region season finale. In coasting to their winning record the potent ' Dog offense rolled up a total of 261 points while the defense limited our opponents to only 126. Varisty Football 118
