OUR SCHOOL BOARD Left to right: Richard Andrew; Helen Montgomery, secretary; Edwin Thomas; Elwood Burkle. Consolidation—a means to an end but quite a personal one involving the foresight of officials and the co-operation of many people. Mr. Richard Andrew and the advisory board—Floyd Reynolds, Austin Suter, and Roscoe Shedron—started the ball rolling by providing more building space—six classrooms and a modem cafeteria. Started in 1956, this building along with the promotional suggestions of Indiana University in- spired consolidation with the two townships that had regularly transferred students to Rossville—namely Owen and Clay of Carroll. Hence Ross Township School on August 1, 1957, became officially Rossville Con- solidated School, under the supervision of the Superintendent of Clinton County Schools, with the three Trus- tees composing the School Board. President of this group is Richard Andrew with Edwin Thomas and El- wood Burkle secretary and treasurer respectively. Each township maintains its own grade school and has its own advisory board.
