Rossville . . . 124 years old with 739 inhabitants . . . 421 meets 26 at my main intersection . . . good place to get a hair cut and exchange a bit of gossip at Ed’s or Hube’s . . . three filling stations for mechanized vehicles and six for humans (How about it, Pete?) . . . Fred Cox, the town marshal, plays streets and alleys on my hard top . . . I’m proud of my park and shelter house provided by the Improvement Club ... my water tower is a landmark . . . people worship in my churches three . . . school serves high school students of our townships . . . Uncle Sam’s Post Office was once the Bank of Rossville . . . if the three doctors fail, Moores prevail (Try their layaway plan) ... I fly high in July with a classy Stock and Horse Show ... All in all I’m a good shopping and service center for rural folks as well as that old home town so fondly remembered by countless R.H.S. graduates.

Homemaking class gives the girls a chance to study magazines for ideas. R.H.S. offers vocational, college preparatory, and business courses. Sharon serves her turn as office girl the seventh period. Betty has come to make that ever important telephone call. Some students have other versions to relate about office visits. The restlessness of last period study hall causes all students to pack early and watch the clock. Wayne is all set” to take off. Freedom at last. Freedom? . . . home- work, chores, Rainbow, and umpteen other distractions.
