They traveled to Western High School on December 1 1 for an exchange pro- gram. They gave a Christmas concert in the gymnasium for the public. The band played for a Spring Festival at Rossville and then, along with other county schools, journeyed to Frank- fort for the annual County Spring Festival We wish to express our thanks to Mr. Moody and the twenty-one members of the band for playing at ball games and pep sessions, and for providing music for the junior and senior plays. The Latin Club, sponsored by Mrs. Rodkey, had a busy year from the initiation of twen- ty-six new members in October to their last meeting, a Roman Banquet given in the spring to welcome prospective members. Two enjoyable meetings were the explanation of our cal- endar in January and the book review, BEN HUR, given by Pat Hufford. LET'S ALL SING AS THE BIRDIES SING . . . The chorus, with fifty-four members, has participated in many activities this year. Their first performance was given for the student body in the assembly. They gave an exchange Christmas program with Western High School. After singing for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter programs, they took part in the spring festivals at Rossville and Frankfort. An octette, consisting of Rowena Carr, Carolyn Miller, Margie Dunk, Nancy Huffer, Phil Carr, Dick Hutchison, Gerald Stevens, and Gene Mellinger, and a men's glee club were or- ganized.
