It ss not lskely that anyone wsll forget the wsnnsng of the sectsonal dursng our sophomore year The parents were probably wastsng up for several conssdersng the lengthy celebratson afterward We had a wonderful hay rsde to end our sunsor class party There was only one thsng whsch marred sts perfectson thss besng the absence of the hay Have you ever trsed cooksng wesners wsthout a pan? We sensors arrsved at our sensor play party and found plenty of food but no pans or bottle openers for our soft drsnks Many of us became great explorers of stream banks that nsght Our varssty proved they were great basketball players when they succeeded sn gettsng 77 posnts whsch defsnstely beat our opponent Mulberry thss year Pat Snellsng ss a good spellsng student but her subconscsous msnd revealed her true thoughts when she orally spelled asr masl a sr m ale Whether she had someone partscular sn msnd ss stsll a mystery We certasnly cant overlook those grade school crushes Shsrley Hufford and Donald Wampler along wsth Dorss Eller and Marshall Sheets were badly snfected wsth puppy love dursng the fsfth and ssxth grades The sale of Kleenex went up the nsght we lost the freshman conference tour ney to Jeff lt was only after a long hard struggle that we fsnally succumbed to a defeat of one posnt Our freshmen gsrls were quste sn awe of the sensor boys abslsty to dance We wonder whether that had anythsng to do wsth the several freshmen gsrl and sensor boy couples Tsmes have changed now so st seems Bsll Young certasnly fooled hss tormentors when he surprsssngly developed sn to a tall muscular lad after besng such a small sksnny lsttle fellow Well one can never tell can one? Jesse Shsveley kept the sunsor play cast sn suspense for several days whsle he worked up hss courage to ksss the Mother good bye He fsnally made st but we stsll cant fsgure out what caused hss face to get so red It couldnt have been a re f'ectson ssnce hss sust was brown We also heard from the grapevsne that Tommy Sksles was so tsred one day sn the grades that he actually sat under Mrs Catton s desk He stsll has a passson for talksng Tsme doesnt always cure everythsng O , .
