You young people are not going out into life: you are already in life. There isn't any such thing as waiting tor a diploma or a degree, and then beginning to live. You are living now. You are sowing now. You are making history now, and have been doing so for a number of years. Do you wcmt to reap a great tomorrow? Then sow the seed for that great tomorrow today. Principal, E. E. Andrews Congratulations on a nice year- book. As you leave our school may I suggest a philosophy oi life as ex- pressed by Charles H. Burr. Get- ters generally don't get happinessg givers get it. You simply give to others a bit of yourself, a thoughtful act, a helpful idea, a word oi appre- ciation, a lift over a rough spot, a sense of understanding, a timely suggestion. You take something out of your mind, garnished in kindness out oi your heart, and put it into the other fellows mind and heart. Superintendent, G. H. Although a little shy and inexperienced, we gathered for our first class meeting and elected our class officers. Bob Iunker served as our President, Larry Denko as Vice- President, Carole Losonsky, as Secretary, Edgar Shank as Treasurer, and Rosemary Halada as Reporter. We were assisted by Mrs. Baggett and Mr. Steininger. Then we were Sophomores. This year was a very successful one for us. We sponsored our Sophomore Skating Party and also a Mistletoe Dance, which has since become a Sophomore tradition. Our class officers this year were Larry Denko as President, Connie Ilconich as Vice-President, and Carole Losonsky as Secretary-Treasurer. Our advisors were Mr. Edington and Mr. Stebbins. During our Iunior year we learned the true meaning of responsibility. We presented a very successful I-Hop and Iunior-Senior Ball. We were proud of the iob we did in our magazine campaign, as our sales topped other years. A good time was had by all as we presented our Iunior Play, entitled The Baby Sitter. Our class officers were Mary Ann Gorka, as President, lim Chris- toff as Vice-President, Carole Losonsky as Secretary, and Larry Denko as Treasurer. Our advisors this year were Mr. Gladieux and Mr. Butt. Seniorsl The Senior Steps never looked better. Our first event of the year was our Senior Play which was entitled The Boarding House Reach. Slowly, but surely we planned our trip to New York City. We worked long and hard to fill our class treasury. Our Senior Carnival was successful financially and loads of fun, so we were told. In what seemed like no time at all we found ourselves boarding the train to New York and began our unforgettable Senior Trip. Graduation! The day long awaited was here. As we look forward into the future we are quite sure that none of us will ever forget our high-school days, and all our memorable experiences at R.H.S. Class Motto: WE'LL FIND A WAY OR MAKE ONE. Class Colors: BLUE AND WHITE. Class Flower: RED ROSE. CL... W!! The Good Old Days -- You've heard folks say, Take me back to the good old days l Well, if they're referring to the horse and buggy and kerosene lamps-they can have those days. lf they're thinking of taffy- pulling parties and two-bit haircuts-they may have something worth talking about. But when it comes to the advantages of our modern school architecture, we know that many of today's buildings are tops! 'd,,.,..4 N I - WX Tut-flex tempered glass is used on school elevations next to play- grounds and in gymnasium win- dows. It is heat-strengthened to withstand three to five times more impact than regular plate glass of the same thickness. When reflecting upon the many advantages of this glass age we live in, we think you'll agree that the good new days are better! You see, more and more school boards are paying careful attention to daylight and view --with clear glass in classrooms from sill to ceil- ing. Taxpayers like Daylight Walls, too. They are economical to build and to maintain. And when win- dows are of Thermopcne insulating glass heating costs are lowered and rooms are quieter.
