Class History We began our high school years as Freshmen, a little scared, but not too scared to go on. Mary Ann Vogeli served as our first class president, and under her were: Jim Haube, vice-president, and Nancy Lorenc, secretary-treasurer. Our advisers were Mrs. Jo Ellen Baggett and Mr. C. L. Steininger. We then journeyed on to our Sophomore year with Mr. John Colmery and Mr. James Stebbins as our advisers. Mary Ann Vogeli again served as class president. Other members on the cabinet were: Suzie Meinert, vice-president, Jim Haube, secretary, and Nancy Lorenc, treasurer. Our first project was the Sophomore Skating Party which was well attended by the student body. Along came our Junior year. Mrs. Jo Ellen Baggett and Mr. B. F. Butt were our homeroom teachers this year, our cabinet: Stan Reiter, president, Kenny Gwozdz, vice-president, Jerry Vascik, secretary, John Zuchowski, treasurer. Under the guidance of our advisers and cabinet, everyone worked hard to make the J-Hop and Jr. Sr. Ball a success. Among other things accomplished this year was the magazine campaign and the Jr. Play under the direction of Mr. Larry Selka entitled A Date With Judy . This also was the year we received our class rings. Then came our fourth and final year. We were Seniors! Mr. H. J. Kohler and Mrs. Avis Velick were our advisers. Due to leave of absence of Mrs. Velick, Miss Joan Mettie helped Mr. Kohler as adviser. Heading the cabinet once again was Stan Reiter as president, Ken Gwozdz as vice- president, Barbara Kovacik as secretary, and Nancy Lorenc as treasurer. The class as a whole worked hard during the year to finance their Senior Trip to New York. We put on the Senior Play directed by Mr. James Stebbins entitled Don't Take My Penny . The Senior Class took an active part in organizing the Student Council. Then came the last and final day- Commencement! Now the Senior Class of '55 is iust a memory.
