As Freshmen at Rossford High School, when we began seeding the ground that would some day develop into sturdy full grown trees of the Senior class, we found a school that was altogether different from our previous educational experiences. Being rather green in most of the activities, we didn't have too much to say about anything that went on. Our class party was a big success. Horneroom teachers helping us to plan the big event were Miss Schaaf and Mr. Troutner. We chose as our leading branches: President, Ernie Lorencep V. President, Sam Pennesep Secretary, Steve Vancena: Treasurer, Lillian Stepan. As Sophomores, we may be compared to young striplings, with roots firmly planted, knowing in which direction to grow. Participating in many organiza- tions, we began to feel quite important. One of our social whirls of the year was the skating party held at the Commodore in Perrysburg. There was a nice turnout. Homeroom sponsors were Mr. Battershell and Mr. Long. Leading us in this phase was our President, Sam Pennese, with his staff aiding him, V. President, Steve Vancena, Secretary, Leona Gibely Treasurer, Arliss Lindeman. We proudly awaited our advance to the Iunior Class. When the luniors returned in the fall of 1948, we found a school that was changing in its surroundings. The Stadium was completed and many of our football games were played there. We knew every section of the campus completely. The roots of this class began spreading throughout the school. We found various talents in different fields and clubs. Proving one of our fine talents was the Iunior Play, Everybody's Crazy . The play was very well received. Director was Mrs. G. Steiner. Another outstanding event was the I-Hop. Still another thrilling day for the lovial luniors was the arrival of our Class rings in the lanuary of '49. The Horneroom sponsors were Mr. Butt and Mr. Wolfe. The leadership of this class was provided by President, Leona Gibelp V. President, Ioyce Sitlavap Secretary, Lillian Stepany Treasurer, Arliss Lindeman. AS MIGHTY SENIORS, we have reached our goal at last, with roots that have finally found their way into a new world. As we move out into this world eagerly, yet reluctantly, we will find many new, fields awaiting us and will always feel welcome to return to the campus we can never forget. The Senior Roast was held October 22 at Pearson Park. A good time was had by all. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. Croop. Chaperones were Mr. and Mrs. I. Cham- berlain, Mr. and Mrs. H. Kohler. ln the spring of l949, we saw another cher- ished ambition nearing realization, the Field House was started, and was completed in February of '5O. Our dedication game was played February 22, with Clay, we won. Leading us through our last and most enjoyable year were President, Bill Gyorip V. President, Ierry Kernsp Secretary, Steve Vancena and Treasurer, Henry Watrol.
