tt TRUE SUCCESS The person who does the best he can under the circumstances in which he finds himself, is successful even though he may never become wealthy, learned, or famous. A man with five talents and small opportunities may use his limited ability in such a way as to be of more service to mankind than one having ten unim- proved or misused talents. True success involves the use of one's powers in the service of his fellowmen. This kind of success brings great satisfaction and reial happiness to the person who achieves it. F. R. McLaughlin, Superintendent. TO BE SUCCESSFUL To be successful is listed very highly by most young people as one of their goals in life. Yet, what does to be successful mean? It has many definitions as there are people to define the term, because the standards of success are set in the minds of the individuals. They may be high or low. To the person with high ideals, suc- cess must have an element of unselfishness, and a concern for others. It strives to lift the burdens of others and make them a little happier. The really successful life is one which makes the world a little better for having been lived. G. Hoy Burns, Principal.
