CLASS PROPHECY A trip through space!! Isn't it exciting? As we travel along we shall stop off at the different planets and see our old classmates. Jack Phillips, our able mechanic, is tinkering with the new jet twenty-four rocket ship which was designed by Sir Robert Bober, recently knighted Duke of the South Afghanistan government. The stewardess, Miss Joyce Hunter, tells us to fasten our safety belts because we're off! We are now entering the orbit of Pluto. Here we will stop to pick up the lovely dancer, Miss Gloria Nagle, Queen of Dance. When we finally get started, we see Gayle Weber, the secretary of the Grand Duke of Pluto. Gayle likes her job very much. QI wonder if it's because the Duke is such a handsome creature.J And who is the Duke? Well he is Ralph Bryant, a wonderful veterinarian famous all over the universe for his cure of moon sickness. The passengers are ready to go and the Admiral, Eugene Rice, takes his place and starts the rocket for its long journey. Next stop i Jupiter. Fasten your safety belts. We're coming in for a landing! Whee! That was exciting. After leaving the Space Ship Academy we are taken to the royal palace by jimmy Leugers, the chauffeur of the King of Jupiter who is none other than King Robert Cleaver, our former class advisor. Entering this great building, we hear beautiful music being played by our own Grace Hilton, famous for her wonderful piano solos. We are all invited to attend a grand ball in the honor of Master john Burwinkle, a well-known farmer who has won the Nobel Peace Prize. for the new farming process. Congratulations, Master Burwinkle! One of the many guest stars at this affair is Rosemary DeLong, famous figure skating star. We're off again! Pretty soon we see Madam Mary Louise Calwell, well known for her famous hair styles. She will show us some of her latest creations. Look! There is Alice Brisbin, the fabulous cook who invented the dish of spaghetti and meat balls without the spaghetti. My what a delicious dish! We are now on the planet Venus, where the reunion of the Class of 53 will be held. We are invited to attend the crowning of Miss Venus who is the former Anna Louise Thompson. Congratulations to her and the many attendants who sit with her court. Miss Venus sits before her court and the entertain- ment begins. As the curtain rises we see Patricia Wagen- stahl, famous Opera Star. She is singing her famous song, The School Days Blues, which was written by Glenn Miller, a well-known song writer. His latest song is Space Ship Blues. Next is a fashion show which stars Miss Jean Lewis, the famous model. Her clothes are designed by Miss Fayetta Glaub and made by Miss Martha Endress. A wonderful performance. Everyone quiet! The curtain is going up on another entertainer who is Gordon Fox, drummer boy of 1953. He has just signed a contract with a famous producer and will replace Gene Krupa. As the orchestra starts to play Mary Jane johnson steps out into the spotlight. Her beautiful voice has won her fame from one planet to another. We now hear strains from -a steel guitar which is played by Eldon Green, the boy wonder of the year. He has a mighty, pretty music partner. Marlene Fletcher, the beautiful actress, is taking her place beside Miss Venus. She can be seen in her first hit, Ramshackle Inn, a wonderful production. We see many celebrities here. There is Wauthalean Haggard, manager of the Universe Winners, the baseball champions of the year. On this team is Johnny Cornett who is the world' greatest pitcher. No wonder the team hasn't lost any games. With them is Margie Dilyerd, woman athlete of the year. There is lack Keller, inventor of the keyless typewriter. We also see Mary Ann Schradin secretary to Jack. She is the only person who can write letters on his invention. It'is getting dark so we return to the rocket. On the way we pass a large radish farm owned by Elmer Lodder, the first man to develop the salted radish. At the airport we are interviewed by Joy Nogle, noted reporter and editor of Mercury Publications. Miss Nogle has just finished covering the story of the cross between the grasshopper and the ant by the noted entomologist, Nancy Lampton. Nancy is always accompanied by Joann Tolley, the only person to take 500 words a minute in shorthand. On the way back we are astonished to be sitting next to Miss Barbara Boyd, first woman president of the universe. At the space port we are met by Howard Lapp who has finally sold the Brooklyn Bridge to Jack Stamper. Jack wishes to reconstruct a model of it across Indian Creek. It pleases us very much to see all the former students of 1953 doing so well. Respectfully submitted, Joyce Hunter Howard Lapp
