Ask Me Out! Twirp week is a holiday for worn 011 8 libbers. That’s when the girls ami guys exchange roles fora week of fun-filled activities. The guy gets a break as the girl goes broke catering to his desire (just as lie did for her). On Monday night with a fiftvish touch, couples gathered at the base- ball field for necking night. Ticket prici s were based on the size of the guy’s neck at 20c an inch. The movie Cat Ballou was shown. Tuesday was the girls’ volleyball game and students gathered after- ward at the Vaudeville Pizza Parlor for a good time. W'edn« sday was Do Your Own Thing Night. Most of the guys were treated to dinner at their favorite place. A favorite for many was the snake dance held Thursday at Gibson’s parking lot after the J.V. game. It really set the spirit for 'The Game’ of the year. said Cheryl Fayle. Finally it arrived. The Game.” Friday was Baytown night, the big- gest event not only for the students, but for the entire town. It was the cli- max of the week. ‘Tin- Night We Drove Old Dixie Dow n” with a score of 13 to 9! Then came the sock hop on Satur- day night. People gathered at Ster- ling’s new gym for a real, old-fash- ioned good time. They dressed in a salute to the fifties and let out the tension and excitement they had been building up all week.
