Ross High School has helped us, the Seniors of nineteen-hundred and fifty-four, to become well-rounded individuals. As we step forth into an increasingly scientific world we realize the importance of this. Mollie Molecule and Andy Atom know too that not only a knowl- edge of science, but an acceptance of the home and church as im- portant factors in our lives help us to achieve our goal. They will he our guides through this book showing how Ross has helped us in the years we have studied and played here. For six years Andy and Mollie have walked through the doors of Ross High School. In the spring and fall, students sit in the Fountain Park across the street from the school. The scene becomes something they take for granted, but now that they are leaving Ross High, Andy and Mollie recognize the fact that each time they pass the school it will be a reminder of the happy school days they had at Ross High. Birchard Library . . A familiar sight to Andy and Mollie as they walked up from the bus stop at Croghan Street was the Birchard Library. Often they visited the library for ref- erence work. Inside it wasn't all study. Andy looked at magazines as Mollie strolled around looking at the pretty displays before they started their work. 'iff His? do, r Eg Courthouse . . . Not every student has the opportunity to go to school in the county seat. San- dusky County Courthouse is across the street from Ross High School. Its archi- tecture adds an air of dignity to our school. Mollie had admired the court- house from many of the windows of Ross. She has had opportunities to explore the inside of the courthouse through various class projects. 3 Ross High Alma Mater llail the Giants, Hail to Ross, May the breeze our Banner toss. See our colors, loved and fair, Streaming in the evening air. Lo, tl1e western sky allame, At the praise of thy dear name, Thro' the twilight shadows dim, Faint, sweet echoes of this hymn. Alma Mater, hail to thee! True and loyal hearts have wel Wiell we've loved thee in the past, Still we'll love thee to the last. Ross High Fight Song Where tl1e purple banners fly, On to victory, Fremont High. Fight, fellows, fight, w hilt- we send up a rousing cheer. RAI-ll RAHI RNH! Hurl fierce defiance to the foes, Little Giants, Bring victory to the old school we hold so dear! Come, team, and win us this game That we may add to the fame find the long, long record of proud achievements Written down by Fremont High. Team, we remind you, to a man weire behind you, Fight, while we roar with a loud cheer that splits the skyl Come, team, and win us this game That we may add to the fame And the long, long record of proud achievements Written down by Fremont High. Board of Education Andy and Mollie see that without the Board of Education our school would have a difficult time operating. To them falls the task of hiring teachers. They have a school budget to balance and must deal with problems of the school which arise. 6 Although this is Nlr. Rupp's first year as superintendent of Fremont schools we have all COIH6 to know, admire and respect llllll. His job is not an easy one and he has done it well. hlollie and Andy are proud to have Nlr. Rupp as superintendent. MR. A. IC. RU1-P MR. C. R. Coovmi Because he has put his confidence and trust in us, we are proud to recognize Mr. Cooper, our principal. 'lil'lI'0llgll the years in all school projects, Mr. Cooper has given us support and helped us maintain our confidence. Wie Seniors realize all Nlr. Cooper has done for us and wish to thank him. N MR. MII,LER Miss THELMA HUGHES The attendance of girls is under the direction of Miss Hughes, visiting teacher. Mollie looks upon Miss Hughes as a person to whom she can take her prob- lems and receive friendly advice. The school wouldn't be complete without Miss Hughes working each day in her oflice. MR. H. RANDALL MILLER Mr. Miller, a well known and well liked assistant principal, with a friendly smile, is seen often around the halls of Ross. Mr. Miller is head of school at- tendance and because he deals mainly with the boys of Ross High, Andy has come to know him as a friend and will- ing counselor. Miss HUGHES 9 Nlrs. Letterman, Wrs. 'Nlyers Gustorf Secretaries Without the Gustorf seeretaries' eflieiellt help, our school system wouldnit operate in the smooth manner that it does. lVlollie and Andy see that the administration has first-class secre- taries to help them carry out their jobs. Standing: Nlrs. Wiegman, Nlrs. Stahl. Seated: Mrs. jaderslrom. Office Girls To keep a school running smoothly is a difficult job. Our two ser-retaries have managed to help us whenever help was needed. They performed cheerfully many small tasks for us, the students, and were always ready to help the teachers. Their ever present smiles will be long l't'IH4'lIllJ1,'I't'll by the Seniors. Custodians The Custodians, besides performing their regular duties, were often called upon by teaehers as well as Andy and Mollie to do various jobs. They always did these jobs will- ingly and cheerfully and Andy and Mollie always received a friendly hello when they met our custodians in their travels about the school. They have guided us through our years in Ross High with their kindness and understanding. Our teachers have been willing to listen to our problems as classes and as individuals, and we think of them as our friends-friends that we will not forget when we graduate and try to take our place beside them in society as good Christian citizens. The band spent many hours drilling for their half-time shows. The climax of the football season was the trip to Nlassillon with the team and thous- ands of Fremont fans. The band also gave a musical touch to the home basketball games. After football season, Nlollie and Andy, as well as the other band members begin to get into condition for concert season. The people of Fremont are very proud to say that our band has received first rate honors in the state for nineteen years. hir.
