J anice Reed Prologue . . We, the class of 1953, in leaving Ross High School, recall many happy days in school. In order that we may always remember them, we have recorded our good times on the following pages, and, with the help of some Walt Disney characters, will show them to you. The words of our motto are true: Knowledge in youth is wisdom in age. We have gained much information at Ross High, we hope we will have wisdom when our high school days are but memories. The responsibility of having a successful Junior-Senior Prom rests on 'the shoulders of the Junior Class Officers. It takes a great deal of patience and initiative to head such a large event. Careful consideration is given in selecting all class officers. They must have the ability to lead, as well as being able to get along with people. Glee Club MUSIC FOR EVERYONE Pluto had heard that there was a group of students who really studied their music so that one day they might belong to the big choir- the A Cappella. So one Wednesday he visited the Glee Club. He noticed that these students were striving for tone quality, wider rang, and mostly iust trying to learn parts in songs so that they might sing either four or eight part harmony. The Glee Club learned many new songs-patriotic, popular, and folk songs, Pluto especially liked the one that went God Bless America. He really went all out on this one. Pluto had fun and he learned to sing quite well in the Glee Club. ' ss r Sponsor .,,.. ...... M r. Chatter DEADLINES T0 Msn Those busy Friday afternoons-with people scurrying around getting late news, pounding on typewriters, and pasting the paper together! Our friend, Mr. Duck discovered that it takes many people in close co-operation to produce the Chatter every two weeks. This year's biggest accomplishment was a special Christmas issue printed on green paper with six pages instead of four. Donald always hated to trod' down to the home rooms to deliver the Chatters, but it made him happy to see the students' eyes sparkle when they saw their names in print. Donald is too busy trying to hit the pinata to notice the popcorn balls and oranges being handed out at the Christmas party by Santa Claus. He has the head seat at the Spanish ban- quet and he eats his food with great delight.
