Katie Arndt, 76, of Siler Street, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fremont to Charles and Fern CKroegerD Klawitter and graduated from Ross High School in 1941. She married Franklin Arndt on July 2, 1944, in Springfield, Mo., and he survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Arndt was a partner in the AAA Apple Or- chard of Siler Street. During World War II, she worked at the Erie Proving Grounds. She worked at Singer Controls of America for more than 10 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Also surviving are sons Grego- ry of Woodville, Timothy of Fre- mont and Randall of Albany, Mo.g daughter Wendy Arndt of Fremontg eight grandchildren and a great-grandchildg and sis- ters Anna Jane Aring of Bowling Green and Eloise Jacobs of Fre- ont. Brother Budette Klawitter is deceased. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wonderly-Horvath Mineral Home. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the fimeral home. Norma Druckenmiller broughT down The house aT The Freshman parTy by singing Down on The Farm. Lee Meisle was presidenT oT The class ThaT year and Mr. Carr was our debaTe coach. As Sophomores many oT The sTudenTs joined The l-li-Y and Girl Re- serves. l-lenry Sewell gained Tame as The disTricT cross counTry champ. We sfill had noT come To realize The imporTance oT coming To class wiTh our lessons compleTed, and many Times were embarassed. Jack Carroll was presidenT, and under his direcTion we made our TirsT aTTempT To sponsor an all school dance. We gave a mosT original prom, when we were Juniors, wiTh all TroTTers presenT unTil The wee hours oT The morning. Track queens were crowned. and one oT The members oT our class. Louise Davis. was among Them. We launched inTo our Senior year deTermined To make iT The mosT successTul in our high school career. To bolsTer The courage oT our vanquished TooTball Team, The BoosTer Club inTroduced The Snake Dance and bonTire To Ross sTudenTs. The. baskeTball Team goT To The Tinals in Sandusky and Jack Carroll surmounTed Shaw's record of The previous year. The bookworms gave The TirsT dance known in The hisTory oT The library sTaTT.
